As some of you may be aware, Bronte has recently struggled with its available parking spaces and towing issue for both residents and visitors. To help with the challenge, we have worked with the Town to add more interim parking spots along secondary roads as noted above on the map.

Private Lots Currently Enforcing With Towing

  • 2441 Lakeshore Rd. W. Sobeys/Rexall (Crombie Reit Private Lot) & adjacent Hero Burgers/Bronte Village Dental lot
  • 2440 Lakeshore Rd. Centriller Square (Davpart Property Management.  Block with stores bounded by Denningers on east end and El Spero on west. This lot also serves stores on Marine Drive.

Did you know that

  • Only ‘present’ customers visiting a business with a private parking lot are allowed to park in that designated commercial business parking lot. When you exit that business and then leave your car to walk elsewhere, you are not considered a present customer and therefore, can be towed by that commercial property owner. It is illegal to park in a private commercial parking lot, eg. if you park your car at Centriller Square and walk to another business not served by this lot, your car will likely be towed.
  • There are a number of privately owned commercial business parking lots, surrounded by Bronte Rd., Lakeshore Rd W., Marine Dr., and Jones St. Please refer to the map provided below to learn which businesses are served by each parking lot. Please don’t leave your car in one lot and cross to another lot servicing other businesses.

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience. Bronte’s commercial property owners and their tenants ask all to try to understand their challenges during this redevelopment period in Bronte.  They are responding to their customers and tenants requests to ensure that parking spots are available for their needs. These businesses only wish to serve their customers better by having enough parking spaces available for them.

Parking properly will ensure your good experience in Bronte Village. You might have to move your car once or walk a few more steps to go where you want to, but it’s for the benefit of the whole community.

Bronte Village is still a wonderful destination, a friendly place with great businesses in which to shop, dine and explore. What we need now is a little collaboration between all involved.

We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing you in Bronte.
