Featuring Small And Large Italian Spuntini.
Yolanda’s is a restaurant project created by Morris and Lynn Mercanti and Michael Mercanti located in an heritage building from 1840 in the Bronte Harbour.
With the help of Castor Design they have transformed the space into a rustic and charming Italian spuntino house with irresistible food and a warming ambience.
Yolanda’s is the name of Morris’s mother who immigrated to Canada in 1956. Afternoons and evenings were spent around food and drink for hours on end with spuntino plates always being passed. The food memories from Yolanda’s basement are what inspired this project.
Eating your way through our menu will be an exhilarating experience. Our wine director Cassandra Mosher has put together a private label list from various regions in Italy that are not available in the LCBO.
This is a wonderful restaurant with a sensational summer patio, managed by Michael Mercanti, paying homage to his late father Morris Mercanti. Mr. Mercanti’s legacy continues under the guidance of son Michael, mother, Mrs.Lynn Mercanti and Chef Scott Bailey featuring Italian small and large plates. Interior features lighting from Castor Design.
Stoneboats is a Bronte Village Oakville heritage landmark on Bronte Rd. south of Marine Drive facing Bronte Harbour.
Despite Bronte Village’s prominent fishing history, one of Bronte’s earliest industries was stonehooking. Stonehooking is the process of gathering stone slabs from shallow water, to be used for construction. This unique construction method was used to build Stoneboats Restaurant (now Yolanda’s), located today at 49 Bronte Rd. Stoneboats was created using “dundas shale” rocks collected in the shallow waters around Bronte Harbour, and remains one of Oakville’s protected historical building.
